Grant Writer Wanted for a Nonprofit Taking Disabled Veterans on Sailing Trips for Education, Therapy, and Healing.

I am looking for a grant to start a non-profit that provides therapy for veterans in the form of blue water sailing. As a veteran of Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan I am receiving disability benefits for severe PTSD. I am also an experienced sailor and am working toward completing my Yacht Master certification. I am also an experienced SCUBA diver and will be completing my dive master certification this year. My non-profit organization will take select soldiers on ocean sailing passages for at least one week at a time on a live-aboard sailing schooner. They will receive instruction on navigation, voyage planning, sailing techniques, weather interpretation, cooking, and SCUBA diving in a restful and therapeutic environment. Some veterans will participate in long ocean passages lasting several weeks. The grant money will be used to purchase the vessel, advertising, training, maintenance, provisioning, and some photography equipment to document their progress and produce promotional videos.
