• Large Southern California nonprofit is seeking an experienced grant writer to write and submit local, state, and federal grant proposals to support existing and future social services programming. This will include coordinating the development and submission of proposals with our Development team, as well as writing proposals and drafting budgets. -Experience with federal and state level funding with proven track record of awarded funds -Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive narratives -Demonstrated ability to coordinate and successfully handle multiple projects and competing timelines, priorities and deadlines -Exhibit strong expository writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling -High-level computer literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with internet research techniques -Proficiency in financial report writing and budget development -Awareness and sensitivity to the issues facing members of vulnerable communities -Ability to coordinate efforts of key staff members to ensure that documents are completed by the specified deadlines for grant proposals -Strong sense of judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism -Ability to work on multiple proposals at one time; high capacity Must have a minimum of a BA/BS in Social Work, Education, Writing/Literature, Public Policy, Non-Profit Management or a related social service field or equivalent experience. Pay is highly competitive.
